Diferentemente do que ocorria na Rep\u00fablica Federativa da Alemanha, em 1968 a homossexualidade j\u00e1 era descriminalizada no c\u00f3digo penal da Rep\u00fablica Democr\u00e1tica da Alemanha. No entanto, o “estado dos trabalhadores e agricultores” n\u00e3o recebeu seus cidad\u00e3os gays e l\u00e9sbicas exatamente de bra\u00e7os abertos, sua sexualidade era tabu e, com frequ\u00eancia, eles eram marginalizados da vida p\u00fablica. Treze biografias instigantes retratam desenvolvimentos privados e pol\u00edticos que levaram \u00e0 oposi\u00e7\u00e3o contra o aparelho do Estado. Quando os primeiros homossexuais come\u00e7aram a deixar a RDA, eles se tornaram um problema e “Romeus da Stasi ” come\u00e7aram a manipular rapazes gays. Arquivos com grava\u00e7\u00f5es de not\u00edcias e excertos de jornais cinematogr\u00e1ficos da RDA ilustram a dimens\u00e3o hist\u00f3rica da biografia dessas pessoas.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Unlike in the Federal Republic, by 1968 homosexuality was already de-criminalized in the German Democratic Republic\u2019s penal code. But the \u2018workers\u2019 and farmers\u2019 state\u2019 did not exactly welcome its gay and lesbian citizens with open arms, their sexuality was taboo and they were often marginalized from public life. Thirteen moving biographies depict the private and political developments which led to opposition against the state apparatus. When the first homosexuals began applying to leave the GDR they became a problem and \u2018Stasi Romeos\u2019 started schmoozing young gay men. Archive news footage and excerpts from old GDR newsreels illustrate the historical dimension of these individual biographies.<\/i><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
